Designing a Festive Charity Event Identity and Collateral for Eumundi Historical Association

The Eumundi & District Historical Association hired me to design the identity and marketing collateral for their Christmas in July dinner, a charity event to raise money for Farm-Aid. The design project included an A3 poster, A5 flyer, menu, print ads, and social media imagery. The goal was to create an eye-catching and festive identity that would encourage ticket sales and help promote the event. The event was a huge success with tickets selling out quickly, and it raised a significant amount of money for Farm-Aid.

Christmas In July 2019

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge for this project was to design an identity that captured the essence of the Christmas in July event while promoting the fundraising efforts for Farm-Aid. The design needed to appeal to the community of Eumundi and encourage them to purchase tickets for the event. The marketing collateral had to be versatile and functional for various mediums while remaining cohesive with the overall brand of the event.

THE SOLUTION

To meet this challenge, I created a whimsical and festive identity for the Christmas in July event that incorporated elements of the Australian bush and traditional Christmas motifs. The designs featured a warm and inviting colour palette with playful typography and illustrations. The various designs, including posters, flyers, menus, print ads, and social media graphics, were produced with a consistent brand identity and message to ensure maximum impact. The successful outcome of the event, with tickets selling out quickly, was a testament to the effectiveness of the branding and marketing materials.
